:"Allah" with a capital "A" means the God of Islam. The word is derived from a generic word for "god", of course, but "Allah" has a specific meaning.--Andy Schlafly (talk) 18:30, 18 August 2015 (EDT)

::I assumed it is like how English speakers who are Christians say "God" instead of "god". Granted I do not know much about Islam, but I can't say I've heard capitalization is exlcusive to them.-Scatach (talk) 18:46, 18 August 2015 (EDT)

:::The attributes of "God" in Christianity are different from the attributes of "Allah" in Islam. The two concepts have significant differences.--Andy Schlafly (talk) 18:54, 18 August 2015 (EDT)
