Please could someone explain why it matters that Obama's great-uncle liberated Buchenwald rather than Auschwitz? My uncle was on what he called the Northern Convoys in WW2 and for a long time I thought he meant the convoys to Newfoundland. In fact he was on the convoys to the Soviet Union. Does it alter the fact that he was a very brave man making a vital contribution to the war effort? Not a bit - just like Obama's great-uncle. My uncle was so mentally damaged by the experience that he rarely talked about it, which is why our family knew very little about what he did - just like, it appears, Obama's great-uncle.

::It not that he was wrong about his uncle, its that he used it as a politics tool.  Like how he says about 57 states.  He doesnt think or research about what he says.  Do we want a president that makes that many slips?  [[User:Patriot1505|Patriot1505]]
