This line strikes me as having multiple flaws. First of all, if you follow the link to the Atheism page, nowhere does it cite a 'demonstration' or 'study' that demonstrates moral depravity in the atheist community throughout history. As such, the only real 'support' here are Biblical quotes. These quotes should be cited here instead of linked externally. The last line is also laughable: Therefore, (what is there that's been shown? 3 Biblical quotes?) moral depravity is certainly (such a strong word) one of the prime causes of atheism. This entire sentence is inferred by the article writer with no external referencing and, frankly, doesn't make much sense.--Reasonless 18:51, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Agreed.  Unless, of course, a lack of faith IS moral depravity. CanadianRedTory October 24, 2008

:No, those are things you say cause atheism.  Without documentation, they prove nothing.  Why do you seem to have so much trouble accepting the idea that some people, as I do, honestly believe God does not exist? -CSGuy 20:10, 13 October 2008 (EDT)

I know my grandfather's an atheist because evangelical pricks literally scared the Jesus out of him.  Evangelical pricks like the douche saying that people are atheists because they were abused or they take drugs.

The Concept.  Some atheists believe the idea of a magic man in the sky to be silly.

How about 'a rational analysis of all available information leading to a person's personal opinion that the belief in God just isn't a sensible one'?  I'm a non-theist, and wouldn't dream to question or criticize the religious - my father and uncle, two brilliant, make-Mensa-members-look-like-morons types among them.  But maybe some people have just looked around and decided that the explanation provided isn't the right one.  It's unfair to assume that we've been traumatized into our beliefs, or that it's somehow because of a lack of moral guidance or parental figures.

In the end, this article should be deleted - unless, of course, we also make an article explaining the reasons that people might possibly believe in said magic man in the sky.  Hey, we're trying for fair and balanced, right?  None of that silly Wikibias or anything.
