: I think that Andy's problem is that American Indians do not resemble today's orientials, such as those living in China. But Asian is not the same as Chinese. The mainstream theory is that the American Indians are descended from Siberians. See [http://www.trussel.com/prehist/news94.htm], which claims that Navajo and Russian Tuvans have similar DNA.
