Dr. Baumgardner was a staff scientist at the Theoretical Division at [[Los Alamos National Laboratory]], where he performed research in planetary mantle dynamics which included the potential for catastrophic mantle overturn.  Dr. Baumgardner has also authored papers describing a proposed mechanism for the [[Flood geology|Genesis Flood]] referred to as “[[Catastrophic plate tectonics|catastrophic plate tectonics]],” at three International Conferences on [[Creationism]] which were held in [[Pittsburgh]], [[Pennsylvania]]. <ref name="bio" />

Dr. Baumgardner’s work at Los Alamos National Laboratory involved the development of a new global ocean model for investigating climate change.  He is also currently a member of the [[Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth]] (RATE) committee and now works full time for the [[Institute for Creation Research]]. <ref name="bio" />
