The '''United States Secretary of Commerce''' is head of the [[Department of Commerce]] and a member of the [[United States Cabinet|Presidential Cabinet]].  The most recent Secretary was [[Carlos M. Gutierrez]], but was not re-selected by President [[Obama]].  Obama has now nominated three people to fill the position: Gov. [[Bill Richardson]], Sen. [[Judd Gregg]] and Gov. [[Gary Locke]].  Richardson withdrew due to improper business dealings and Gregg cited disputes over the 2010 census and economic stimulus plan.  Locke is the current nominee.
