After the Flood, these kangaroos, bred from the Ark passengers, migrated to Australia.  There is debate whether this migration happened over land with lower sea levels during the post-flood ice age, or before the super-continent of Pangea broke apart..

Another theory regarding the migration of Kangaroos to Australia is the belief that Kangaroos were able to utilize the intercontinental Jet Steam to aid in their travels. By opening their pouch, located on their stomachs, Kangaroos were able to navigate the Jet Steam into this kite-like orifice. Once this pouch is fully inflated the Kangaroo would take flight - able to soar as high and far as desired. With the use of their large diameter tail, and "large ears on top of their small heads," the Kangaroo could navigate the skies at will. After initially taking flight on neighboring continents, the Kangaroo eventually chose Australia as their final resting place.
