Pánfilo de Narváez (1478 – 1528), born in [[Castile]], took part in the conquest of [[Jamaica]] in 1509 and [[Cuba]] in 1512. He led an expedition to [[Mexico]] in 1520 to oppose [[Hernán Cortés]] and another to [[Florida]] in 1527, where he died.
