Rant.
While I've never played Starcraft II, I somehow doubt that a game set hundreds of years in the future in a distant galaxy contains "Subtle overtones of pro-Islamic messages." If you're going to have a section like this, you really owe it to your readers to be more in-depth. Are you going to be mad at your kid if he choices to be the 'robber' over the 'cop'? If you are, then I think you need to rethink yourself because you cannot see that these are just GAMES, works of FICTION. Commonsense should be evident that what is done in Grand Thief Auto can't be done in real life. In fact, I'm going make a list of my own right here to wake you guys up.
First off, if your kid is playing the game then it is YOUR FAULT! You are the parent, take responciblity and watch your child. If he or she gets a new game and you don't have time to watch it. Take it away, do your homework when you can and only then if it passes your inspection do you return it.
Second, profanity in T rated games is happening just like it is in movies and TV. The word 'Crap' is appearing in kids shows on Cartoon Network. They will get hit with it sooner or later. Don't you think your 13 yo is mature enough to hear the words and understand that they shouldn't use it? If not, then maybe you should put them back in the crib.

:It is called 'detail'. People put in a lot of work to make their games realisic. Just like movie makers do with their productions. The problem stated in the brackets is a problem with the sellers of the games, not the makers. I don't know of any business that I trust that sells mature rated games to kids without a photo ID or a parent with a photo ID.

You are kidding me, right? Christianity isn't even mentioned in the game! Plus.. ITS A WORK OF FICTION! There is no Kratos in the Greek Mythos. It is all just a story and a game... wait.. are you talking about the Three Wise Men reference? WHO CARES?! Its a work of Fiction.

If you are talking about the multiplayer, I point back to the Cops and Robbers reference. If you are talking about the airport scene, how do you know that DOESN'T happen in real life? Besides, they included the option to skip the scene so the issue is moot.

I'm not talking about the game here, I'm talking about Mods in general. Um, ya. Welcome to the real world. People are going to look for ways to get games to be more graphic and perverted. That is not the developers or producers fault, that is the fault of people.

Sex.. happens in the real world. We all had it, we all thought about it. I'm going to count this one liberal idea with some Conservative ones. Kids can learn the effort it takes to live int eh real world. What it takes to make enough money to get the fancy home and stuff in it while at the same time, keep the food on the table. If you don't make a budget or a plan early on, your sim is gonna die of starvation while watching his flatscreen. This is a game I would recommend.

Ya, war is pretty violent. Mhmm. This isn't a game for just the story lovers, it is a combat game. If you want a story, play a RPG.

It.. is.. a GAME. In fact, you destroy an idol for one mission. You are taking these games too seriously. I played all of the ones that I talked about and I"m a good Christian Conservative. Do you know why? Because I know the difference between reality and fantasy.
I'm cleaning up this page. It is about the Video Game Industry. Not [[Liberalism in Video Games]]. If you happen to make a page like that, then please make a [[Conservatism in Video Games]] page to counter it. It is only fair.
