This was a suggestion from someone on the Debate topics talk page, and I think is worth some discussion. My thoughts: that as Christians are still human, and all humans sin, so do Christians. No one is perfect, and 'saved' doesn't mean not committing sin, but being forgiven for the sins you do commit. I welcome any opinions and arguments to the contrary. - [[User:JamesCA|JamesCA]] 20:24, 11 October 2011 (EDT)

:First, thanks for setting up this debate.  Here are my thoughts.
 +
:The Bible says that all people ''have'' sinned:
 +
{{Bible quote|For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;|book=Romans|chap=3|verses=23|version=KJV}}
 +
:However, according to these Bible verses, once we are saved, we no longer sin:
 +
{{Bible quote|Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.|book=1John|chap=3|verses=6|version=KJV}}
 +
{{Bible quote|We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.|book=1John|chap=5|verses=18|version=KJV}}
 +
:I'd be interested in any other views that take the above into account.  In particular, if I'm taking anything out of context, I'd appreciate knowing the correct context.  [[User:DavidE|DavidE]] 08:58, 12 October 2011 (EDT)
