AMD 64, or x64 is a instruction set used in all modern processors, with the exception of Sparc, and geode processors. First implemented by AMD, it was quickly copied by Intel, and [[Nvidia]]. Although Intel has it's own x64 set, the Itanium, it is far inferior to the AMD64 bitset.
