Staffordshire County Council

Staffordshire County Council is a local authority that makes up part of the West Midlands statistical region in England. It is named after the traditional county Staffordshire. However, the council area is legally and geographically distinct from the county itself and, with a population of 886,284, covers less than half of Staffordshire's population of over 2 million, with many major settlements such as Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent being in different council areas. Staffordshire County Council also covers small parts of Derbyshire and Warwickshire.
