JoaquÃn,please, please, either delete Dan Brown or change the heading from "best" to "famous" or "well-known" or something. Popular he may be, but in the same class as the others? He just does not belong there. AlanE 20:57, 20 November 2008 (EST)
JoaquÃn (here we go again) I know I'm a pain but Steve Lawrence was a pop singer...most famous as half of a husband and wife duo. He was not a composer. I also think that Young, Horner, Mancini, Williams and certain others, whilst popular and good composers in their field (and I adore Morricone!!) don't exactly belong in the same paddock as Beethoven and Co. Cole Porter wrote popular songs. Gershwin only just makes it into the "classical"...he's enjoyed but not particularly thought to be up there with the greats.
