I'm not sure I agree with a lot of the first section. SNL is still a very highly rated show and was the highest rated show in the 18-49 demographic for Saturday nights in 2011. While the numbers change every week SNL has consistently been competing only with itself.[1] There's also the issue that humor is very subjective but I think we can generally go by what the most people think. - And how does that necessarily hinder the quality of the show? Judging by ratings and what the overall public thought, the quality of the show is still very good. I agree with all that. The show obviously makes fun of those on the Right more than those on the left. To be honest though, Palin and Bachmann made better sketches than Obama did. Also, the reason that the show went down hill for a while in the 90's(generally considered the lowest period) was due to the pressure to fire several cast members(which worked). That person eventually lost his job and the show has gotten much better. Ayzmo :) 23:45, 19 February 2012 (EST)
