Liberal tactics

I'm amazed, and almost proud, of the genius of these political hacks. ABC, Gibson, and Walters - along with the rest of their liberal pals - have beaten up this women so thoroughly that she may never recover. This one interview incident was the springboard for a "one two" punch.

First they distort her quote on SNL so craftily that the average liberal voter thinks she actually spouted geographical nonsense. They made her look as dumb as Reagan saying "Trees cause pollution" (another clever misquote - you can start researching what he actually said on the Snopes messageboard.) If the governor of the nation's largest state doesn't know the difference between her own house and a mountainous island in the Bering Strait, she's obviously too ignorant to be trusted with the presidency, right.

Then ABC edits the interview so they make (1) her decision to ignore Gibson's attempt to put words in her mouth look like (2) an acknowledgement of those false words. Arch opponents have insisted ever since that she was making the (obviously false) claim that Alaska's proximity to Siberia gave her "insight" into foreign policy, which anyone who studies the transcript knows she never said.
