Unique to the Gospel of John

Unique to the Gospel of John are the following:

• two unique, extremely powerful allegories that are life-changers for many: the Good Shepherd and the True Vine;
• no parables or exorcisms, in contrast with the other Gospels;
• its time period is somewhat different from the synoptic Gospels;
• it is more favorable to Samaritans and more hostile to Judeans;
• it places Jesus's ministry more in Judaea;
• it has greater emphasis on eternal life; and
• it contains more theological discussions by Jesus.
