Twistor theory

Twistor theory was originally developed by Sir Roger Penrose in 1967, it is a mathematical theory that seeks to describe the geometry of four dimensional real space-time via the geometry of 4-dimensional complex space with metric signature (2,2).
Twistor space has also been used by Edward Witten to efficiently calculate the scattering amplitude of Feynman diagrams.
