The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) is an leftist marxist terrororganization in Columbia. It has 18.000 - 43.000 fighters.
History
Since 1948 militant conservative, liberal and communist groups fought against another. In 1964 the Columbian army and the CIA won the control under the cities. But the militant communist formed on the 5th May of 1966 an guerilla, called Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. An second group was founded under the name Ejército de Liberación Nacional.
