Persepolis

Persepolis (Old Persian تخت جمشید, 'Takht-e Jamshid') was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. Archaeological and written evidence suggests that Persepolis was founded around 518BC.[1][2] Alexander the Great sacked Persepolis in 333BC
