The Two Towers

The Two Towers is a book by J.R.R. Tolkien and the second in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. It is divided into two parts called Books Three and Four (Books One and Two are in The Fellowship of the Ring.)
Book Three
This part chronicles the battle of Rohan against Isengard. Isengard is defeated due to the members of the fellowship. It foreshadows the final battle against Sauron. It also involves the return of Gandalf.
Book Four
This part follows the journey of Frodo and Sam into Mordor. It also involves the return of Gollum (from The Hobbit) to lead and betray the hobbits. It also includes Boromir's kind brother, Faramir. [1]
Facts
- We never learn what the "Two Towers" are in the title. There are many possibilities such as: Isengard and Cirith Ungol, Minas Tirith and Barad-dur, or Isengard and Baradur. We don't really know.
