A Cocktail is a mixed alcoholic drink that usually contains a base of whisky, brandy, vodka, rum, or gin and is then combined with fruit juices, sodas, or other liqueurs and liquors. Cocktails are often served chilled. A basic example of a cocktail would be a mixture of rum and Coca-Cola. Cocktails can also be non-alcoholic, an example of one such cocktail is the Shirley Temple.

Example

A kamikaze is a tart alcoholic mixed drink made with vodka, triple sec, and lime juice.
