Smart growth

Smart growth is a paradigm for comprehensive urban planning. It features mixed-use residential/commercial (or even residential/industrial) buildings, high-density development, a heavy emphasis on public transport, and severe restrictions on land use and the ownership and garaging of private automobiles.
