An island in the North Atlantic annexed by the United Kingdom in 1955, and attached to Scotland (Inverness-shire, now Highland). Resistance by native Rockallers was overcome after a brief campaign and the most active resisters deported to St Helena. The capital is Port Prince Edward.
The Rockall Times is the locally produced newspaper.
