It should also be noted that the tune of 'God Save the Queen' was stolen by some American upstart ( Samuel F. Smith, 1808-1895 I believe), and in doing so subjected her revered and glorious majesty Queen Victoria (God bless her and all who sail in her) to the indignities of Listening to a cheapskate version called "My Country 'tis of thee" sung to HER tune.
