Timothy McVeigh was a conservative extremist and the main perpetrator in the Oklahoma City Bombing on April 19, 1995, which killed 168 people in the worst act of domestic terrorism in American history. He was pulled over that afternoon by Lieutenant Charles Hanger for driving without a license plate, and arrested after Lt. Hanger found an unregistered firearm in his car. [1] McVeigh was executed by the federal government on June 11, 2001.
McVeigh was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm.
