A Black Stallion.

Horses are among man's best friends in the animal kingdom. They provided a source of rapid transportation for hunting and travel. They pulled wagons, carts and buses. They helped plow fields.

Long a source of wonder and mystery, these intelligent animals have been bred since antiquity. Their use for tranportation was curtailed in the early 1900s as automobiles (then called "horseless carriages") replaced them and the annoying horse pollution they dropped on city streets.

Biologists place these four legged ungulates of the Equus family.

Origin

The traditional Biblical view is that all animals originated in the Middle East after being collected by Noah in his Ark. Unfortunately baraminologists are unable to explain transitional fossils such as

  • Hyracotherium
  • Orohippus
  • Epihippus
  • Duchesnehippus
  • Mesohippus
  • Miohippus
  • Kalobatippus
  • Parahippus
  • Merychippus
  • Dinohippus
  • Plesippus
  • Hippotigris
  • Equus
