A bridge is a structure that allows passage over a otherwise impassible place. They may be constructed of steel, wood, or other materials heavy enough to support loads.
Metaphorically, a "bridge" spans the distance between two topics that might not otherwise be connected.
Examples of famous bridges include the Humber Bridge, the Forth Bridge, the Tay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge.
Bridge is also the name of a card game
