Marian Rejewski

Marian Rejewski lived from 16 August 1905 to 13 February 1980. He was a Polish mathematician and cryptologist. In 1932, he used advanced mathematics to break the code of the Enigma, a German cipher machine. This proved invaluable to the Allied victory over Germany.
