Melting point

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by DavidB4-bot (talk | contribs) at 17:11, June 29, 2016. It may differ significantly from current revision.

The melting point of any substance is the temperature at which that substance changes state from a solid into a liquid, or vice versa. Melting temperature for most substances is mildly related to the pressure on the system. If the pressure of a melting point is not specified, it probably describes a system at atmospheric pressure.
