Windows 97 was a little-known beta operating system by Microsoft. Much is unknown if this was an upgrade to Windows 95 OS2 or if it was Windows 98. It seems to been have shipped outside America in a tiny batch test. What is known is that the working Nashville code was replace by the Memphis code which would be known as Windows 98.

Some people will complain that there is no such thing as Windows 97, it's just an elaborate fabrication.
