Kathleen Sebelius (1948) is the governor of Kansas, and the chairwoman of the Democratic Governors' Assocation. She is a Democrat currently serving a second term, winning re-election in 2006 by a surprisingly large margin (due to the fact that Kansas is a very conservative state) over Republican challenger Jim Barnett. Her name comes up occasionally as a possible running mate to a 2008 Democratic presidential nominee.
