Stick (instrument)

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by DavidB4-bot (Talk | contribs) at 01:07, July 12, 2016. It may differ significantly from current revision.

The Stick is an amplified stringed instrument resembling a larger version of a fretboard developed by Emmett Chapman. The "Chapman Stick" is used to achieve higher and lower octaves for both bass and electric guitar without being weighted down by a body.

A typical Stick has even numbers of strings (8, 10, or 12). It is played by using both hands to perform a tapping method directly to the fretboard—as opposed to strumming the strings at the base of the guitar.
