Abdicate

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by DavidB4-bot (Talk | contribs) at 00:49, July 13, 2016. It may differ significantly from current revision.

To abdicate means to give up power, especially the power of king or queen over the people. It is often used in reference to Edward VIII, who abdicated the throne of England to marry an American divorcee.
