Fluconazole

Fluconazole is an antifungal treatment of the triazole class of antifungals. It is sold under the trade name Diflucan by Pfizer, although Pfizer's patent on the drug expired in 2004. The drug is now produced generically.
Fluconazole is commonly used today to cure or prevent fungal infections caused by fungal yeast such as Candida albicans. Such infections can be deadly to immunocompromised individuals.
