Nephi (Son of Lehi)

Nephi was a Book of Mormon patriarch and prophet known for helping his father Lehi travel out of Jerusalem towards the new promised land. The new promised land was located somewhere in the Americas, as the story demonstrates.
According to the Book of Mormon, he was the author of the books of 1 Nephi and 2 Nephi, in which Moroni later edited his work.
