Prestonpans

Prestonpans is a village in East Lothian, Scotland, on the fringes of Edinburgh. It is noted as the site of the Battle of Prestonpans which took place in 1745. It was once famous for its oysters and as a place where the monks quarried salt (the name means priest's-village-(salt) pans).
