Bo Diddley (born Ellas Otha Bates McDaniel in 1928 - died 2008) was a legendary rock and roll and blues guitarist and singer. He was well known for his stage antics and his trademark rectangular guitar.

Diddley is most remembered for bringing the "hambone" beat to popular music, which has been copied by many other rock singers, including Elvis Presley.
