Door hinge

A door hinge is a mechanism that allows one part to rotate in relation to a fixed part. For a door the fixed part is the wall and the movable part is the door. The mechanism may include bearings for heavy doors, and may provide for the door to swing either direction or be self-closing.
A commercial kitchen door is an example of a door that will open in either direction, enabling waiters to push the door open from either side.
Self-closing hinges either incorporate a spring or use a hinge design to make gravity do the work.
