Labor Day

Labor Day is a legal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday in September. It celebrates those who are gainfully employed. It was started in 1882 by the Knights of Labor who held a large parade in New York City. In 1894 the U.S. Congress made the day a legal holiday.
