Pocket billiards is a pastime popular throughout the United Kingdom. It bears a similarity to billiards but involves only two balls. The cue is known as a tadger. The pace of the game is faster than conventional billiards and often results in an exciting climax. The World Championship is held annually at the Guild Hall in Melchester, England.
