BTX is the acronym for the commercial petroleum aromatics: benzene, toluene, and xylene. Older names for this product are benzol and benzole.[1] A mixture of gasoline and benzole was formerly sold as a motor fuel in the United Kingdom under the name National Benzole Mixture.[2]
