Reuben

Reuben (Hebrew רְ××Ö¼×Öµ×) was the first-born son of Jacob, and the founder of Tribe of Reuben, one of the 12 tribes of Israel. Reuben was the son of Jacob's first wife Leah. Although firstborn, Reuben's tribe does not get the rights of the first-born and the line of kings came from his brother Judah. Reuben is principally know for two incidents in the Bible: counseling his brothers not to kill Joseph, and for the ambiguous incident in Genesis 35 where he may have committed incest. In the Jewish tradidiion, The first cities of refuge for accidental homocide were in Reuben's territory due to his arguing against killing Joseph.
