Ropen

The Ropen is "a modern pterosaur with Rhamphorhynchoid characteristics."[1] Not yet officially acknowledged in Western biology, the name of this cryptid comes from the Kovai language on Umboi Island in Papua New Guinea.
Dave Woetzel described an expedition to learn about this cryptid on Umboi Island (north of New Guinea) in 2004[2]
The History Channel sponsored a subsequent search on this island as part of their Monster Quest series.[3]
