Brent Hartinger is a left-wing American author. Since 2001, he has published nine young adult novels. He lives in Seattle, Washington. He is known for his Russel Middlebrook series, beginning with Geography Club and starring a gay teenager.[1] He encourages sex between men and is married to a man.[2]
