Poi

Poi is the term used to refer to the traditional martial dance of the Maori people.. Traditionally, those who were proficient in poi were seen as more desirable, with the best performers being revered as minor gods according to the local religion [1].
Christian criticisms
As poi performances have become more common outside of New Zealand they have drawn criticism from Christian groups for their depiction of a pagan religion, and close symbolic ties with satanism [2].
