The Mode is a summary of data that reports the value that occurs most frequently in a dataset.
For the following data:
- 1, 3, 3, 3, 3, 5, 7, 9, 19
The mode is "3" because "3" occurs 4 times and no other value occurs 4 or more times.
The mode can be used to describe categorical data as well.
For the following categorical data:
- Blue, Blue, Blue, Green, Green, Yellow, Orange
The mode would be "Blue"
