Sphere of influence

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Eldepeche (Talk | contribs) at 21:58, May 2, 2007. It may differ significantly from current revision.

A sphere of influence by a country is a foreign geographic region ("sphere") in which that country has trading or investment rights.

For example, Britain enjoyed spheres of influence in many regions of the world during the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
