Major Bernard Gaynor, officer in Australian armed forces, who was sacked from his job despite a distinguished career, for objecting to servicemen illegally participating in Gay Pride events while wearing their uniforms. After a three-year legal battle, Gaynor was in December 2015 vindicated by the highest court and re-instated. [1] [2]
