Lewis Wolpert (born October 19, 1929) is a biologist and atheist from South Africa. He lives in London. In February 2007, he debated William Lane Craig in London, England, UK on the subject of "Is God a Delusion?" Despite being an atheist, Woplert is very respectful of religious faith and even goes as far as to say that religious people are generally more healthy. In his youth, Wolpert was a religious Jew, but eventually rejected his faith.
