Max Horkheimer was a German sociologist involved with the Frankfurt School who became well known for his work in Critical Theory and Cultural Marxism. He also admitted that their attempts at pushing for Marxist revolution won't be through guns, but instead by gradual infiltration of education centers.

“The revolution won't happen with guns, rather it would happen incrementally, year by year, generation by generation. We will gradually infiltrate their educational institutions and their political offices, transforming them slowly into Marxist entities as we move towards universal egalitarianism.”

~ Max Horkheimer

His most well-known work is Dialectic of Enlightenment.
